Guilt Repairs Army Land loss Colony loss
(Germans when Really Aggravated Love to Contrive)
1. Blame -
Germany should accept sole responsibility for starting World
WW1 = Humiliation, no one’s opinions are wrong to
themselves. By doing this they had to accept that the others
were right and that their punishments would be correct.
This angered Germany and was the worst hit to their pride.
It was the one term that started thoughts of revenge.

2. $$$ -
Germany had to pay £6,600 million for the damage caused
by the war. = Debt, having to build up from the ground. With
colonies and land gone, income had to come from inside
what was left of the country.
Germany would have to work so hard to pay this off and it
was all because of those they had tried to defeat. This was
proof of accepting the blame along with the weight of
repairing the world they had helped to tear apart.
3. Next to no military -
Germany was only allowed to have a small army and six
naval ships. No tanks, no air force and no submarines
allowed. = Loss of power, no intimidation whatsoever, little
defense.
This sits beside Repairs because military was such an
important asset that without it they were publicly shown as
no threat to others.

4. Land loss-
Land was taken away from Germany and given to other
countries. = Another loss of power, huge set back ,
surrounded them with people who would keep an eye on
them.
Land is such a huge sign of wealth and power that for
someone to just take away all you have earned with you just
sitting by would be incredibly frustrating. Humans believe in
justice, and everyone has their own definition of what justice
is. This was theft to a lot of Germans.
5. Colony loss -
Germany’s oversea colonies were given to Britian and
France. = Handing over control, income and integrity to the
enemy,
When you lose anchors and relations across seas you are
viewed as a smaller and more manageable country. This
again showed the world that the Germans were no threat.
Anger grew in Germany.
