How to Print Evans Library • December 2019
You’ll need two things to print AND or
Panther ID Cards Florida Tech ID card provides the following services: Student ID Card Meal Plan Card Panther Cash Debit Card Library Card Lab Printing Card Electronic door access when provided Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation access
This machine is located on the first floor of the library in room next to the elevator on the other side of the vending machines. How to add Panther Cash with cash
Swipe Card
Add cash
Review Balance Choose to print a receipt or press Done to exit
To add Panther Cash with a Credit Card Credit and Debit card deposits are made through Access Florida Tech
Add Panther Cash Then select deposit to Panther Credit Account Header Text
You will need your 9 digit 900# from your student ID Panther cash may be deposited in amounts as small as $1.00 (choose ‘other’ under amount) Header Text
Header Text Enter your credit or debit card information to finish the process
Printing Print as you normally would, selecting ‘ Secure_Print ’ as the printer. Go to the printer – all printers on campus will receive the print job, so you may go to any public printer.
At the Printer
Select Secure Print If this is your first time printing on campus you will have sign in with you Tracks account
The print queue should come up when you swipe in. Select your print job – a selected print job will turn a lighter shade of blue. Verify the cost and color properties of the print job. You may change the color properties under ‘options’. ‘Print and keep’ allows the job to stay on the list to be printed again. ‘Print and delete’ prints the job and removes it from the list. Funds will be deducted from your account automatically Log out when you are done printing
Printing from off campus or personal laptop Email a PDF of your document to: [email protected] using your my.fit.edu email accout . Your print job will remain in the queue for 24 hours and can be released at any campus location Times to process mobile prints may vary due to traffic on the network.
Select file manager Click in the quick access bar and put in the file path for the printer \\ printserver1\secure_print A popup should open up showing the current print queue At this point you should be able to go back to the document and select Secure Print as the printer option. If you are printing from an online source such as an email or google docs you may need to close the print view and reselect print. How to add Secure Print to a library computer
