Computer VS Human Brain

Taminul Islam Presented By ID: 181-15-11116 Student of Department of CSE Daffodil International University Presented To Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain Professor, Daffodil International University (DIU)

Agenda Introduce with computer. Taking knowledge about the working process of computer. Introduction 01 Describe about the main elements of computer. Briefly visualize, how the computer and the brain performs and the analysis between computer and human being. Description 02 A short tour of this presentation. Pointing out the reaching sector from this study. Conclusion 03 References 04

What is Computer & Human Brain A computer is a machine that can be instructed to carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical operations automatically via computer programming . The human brain is the command center for the human nervous system. It receives signals from the body's sensory organs and outputs information to the muscles

Computer can perform automatically and it can also perform any task on the dot. Automated & Scheduled Computer are using everyday in our life. Everyday & Everywhere Nowadays computer can do more critical task where human can’t. Critical Task Computer becoming a helping hand of this modern society Helping Hand Computer can store huge amount of data Data Storing Computer can calculate data very fast and accurately Fast & Accurate Calculating

History

The brain uses chemicals to transmit information . The computer uses electricity. Even though electrical signals travel at high speeds in the nervous system, they travel even faster through the wires in a computer A computer uses switches that are either on or off ("binary ") Neurons in the brain are either on or off by either firing an action potential or not firing an action potential

Human Memory VS Computer Memory In some ways, human memory and computer memory are similar. For Example: Some characteristics of human short-term memory matches with the RAM of computer device Human short-term memory is volatile and has a limited capacity. Computer RAM have actually same characteristics. Memorization

Both are able to multitasking It is much easier and faster for the brain to learn new things. The computer can do many complex tasks at the same time ("multitasking") that are difficult for the brain. For example, try counting backwards and multiplying 2 numbers at the same time. However , the brain also does some multitasking using the autonomic nervous system. For example, the brain controls breathing, heart rate and blood pressure at the same time it performs a mental task.

Computers are pre-defined There is a big difference in the background of Human Brain & computer. Computers are pre-defined, having no thinking ability as well as always be monitored by the human brain. We know, a computer is a machine & machine is always pre-defined by the human. Suppose , I made a calculator in the computer where I defined  5+5 = 11 . So, if any human users input the same math there, then the computer will show 11 without any hesitation but the user’s brain must be surprised because he/she knows that is  FALSE . Computer can’t filter-out the wrong & true things unless it was pre-defined.

Practical Example Picture 1 Picture 2

Conclusion the brain is better at doing some jobs and the computer is better at doing other jobs. From this study we will know about the main difference between computer and the human brain. Both are able to do some important task. Both are able to do multitasking what we are seen in this presentation. In this presentation we will learn about the memory of computer and human brain. From this study we will know about the definition of Computer and Human Brain. The Importance of computer in this modern society is also showed here. We will learn about the basic organization of a computer system and shortly how the computer works. Some devices about the elements of computer. Then the story begins, “Human vs computer ”. Comparison, justification, differences, stand points and the finally practical examples have showed in this study so that it can clarify the major differences between human brain and the computer.
