INTRODUCTION Frequent innovations relates to hydraulic system and more specifically to an automobile hydraulic jack system. Most of the vehicles are lifted by using screw jack. This needs high man power and consumes a lot of time . Various types of jack or lift devices has been installed on for lifting the vehicle. Conventionally we have always used a separate jack for each of 4 wheels , in steed here we have the jacks permanently installed on the vehicle. It is an object of innovation to provide ideal jack system that can be operated by driver from inside the car. It is also an object of innovation to provide an ideal hydraulic system which is operated by cam mechanism which actuates hydraulic jack which will lift the vehicle.
ABSTRACT Transportation has now been increased in wide manner. In olden days people used wooden wheel vehicle for transportation. but nowadays disc wheels are used. those wheels are covered with tyres Our Indian road condition are not comfort to ride the vechiles.the tyres are met punchers at high rate In order to change tyres , they have to lift vehicles by manual jacks Nowadays, hydraulic jacks, pneumatic jacks etc are used In our project we had implementing a new concept of hydraulic jack which consist of pump, cylinder, handle, ram, self locking nut.
PROBLEM DEFINITION Huge human effort required Time taking process Difficulties in repairmen
PROPOSED DESIGN Parts… 1 . DC battery 12 Volt 2. DC Motor 3. Hydraulic pump 4. Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir 5. Control Unit 6. Hydraulic Jack 6.1Left Side Hydraulic Jack 6.2Right Side Hydraulic Jack 7. Pipes
BASIC LAW OF HYDRAULICS Pascal's Law : The principle stating that external static pressure exerted on a confined fluid is distributed evenly throughout the fluid.
Cont… The relationship between pressure, force and area is given by P=F/A This relationship is very useful for obtaining a mechanical advantage
FLUID POWER AND ITS APPLICATION Fluid power deals with the control and transmission of energy through the use of pressurized fluids. Fluid power is quite literally the force behind industry because it is used to push, pull, drive and regulate virtually all machines used in industry. Fluid power is used in the steering, brake system, and automatic transmissions of cars and trucks Since fluids exist as either a liquid or a gas, fluid power is a term used to describe both hydraulics and pneumatics.
PRINCIPLE OF HYDRAULIICS The hydraulic lift works on the principle that the effort required to move something is the product of the force and the distance the object is moved . By using an incompressible fluid to transmit the force, the hydraulic lift allows a small force applied over a large distance to have the same effect as a large force applied over a small distance . In this way, a small hand pump may be used to lift an automobile . In order to fill the large cylinder under the car with fluid, however, the small pump must be operated many, many times.
DIAGRAMATIC REPRESENTATION
WORKING This machine has a hydraulic cylinder and piston assembly. Which works in a port type integrated hydraulic circuit . I this circuit there is no need for separate oil pump hydraulic houses, D.C valves, Pumps etc . These all those things are integrated with the hydraulic cylinder itself.
ACCIDENT AVOIDING SYSTEM We all are known that hydraulic pump and cylinder has oil rings and O-rings for operating the hydraulic circuit But due to over loading OR fatigue leads to cut off O-rings and oil seals . So un Predictable Accident can be occur due to this . so we will provide the bolt and nut principle in this hydraulic for accident avoiding which is explained in drawing . After lifting the jack we will down the nut upto cylinder head . if any O-ring or oil leakage occurs the nut will provide the piston to go down
HYDRAULIC JACK WITH ACCIDENT AVOIDING SYSTEM
ADVANTAGES The maintenance of the vehicle will be very easy. The servicing of the vehicle will be easy and cheap. Reduces human effort at large extent. Time saving . Can be operated even when the vehicle is not in starting condition. As it is electrically powered , doesn’t harm vehicle efficiency. .
POINTS TO OVERCOME Cost will increase slightly. Weight of vehicle will increase slightly. System can not work without 12 volt DC current. System required maintenance also Chances of leakage
FUTURE SCOOPE We are currently working on small commercial vehicles but in future it can be used for heavy duty vehicles by making small changes. Further to this each wheel can be accompanied by hydraulic jack. Hydraulic pump can directly be connected to engine output instead of devicing a motor . With this ,system can be operated through acceleration pedal.
CONCLUSION A hydraulic jack is a device used to carry large loads with the application of small force. Here we are going to fabricate a hydraulic jack which is operated using a DC wiper motor which gets dc supply from the battery of the vehicle without application of man force. Maintenance and service of the vehicle can be easily done by this project. With this project the usage of automobile can be made easy for women and old people. The inbuilt jack is operated by battery so it can also be used when the vehicle engine is not started. Arrangement is also very useful for heavy loading vehicles and a single person can go on a long drive.
