FOUNDATION OF IATA
•IATAwas founded in Havana, Cuba, in April 1945. It is the
prime vehicle forinter-airline cooperation in promoting
safe, reliable, secure and economicalair services -for the
benefit of the world's consumers. The
internationalscheduled air transport industry is more
than 100 times larger thanit was in 1945.
THE EARLY DAYS
•Immediately after 1945(after the end of world war 2) IATA
had to handle world wide responsibilities with a more
systematic organization and a large infrastructure.
