1. How will you relate our lesson to your everyday life? 2. Is it applicable? In what way? Explain. 3. Can you cite instances where angle of elevation and angle of depression are applied in our daily lives? Can you give one example. 25

* What is angle of elevation and angle of depression? * How do you prove that a given figure forms an angle of elevation or angle of depression? *Why is it necessary to illustrate/identify the angle of elevation and angle of depression? 26

Multiple Choice Test: Read each item carefully. Write the letter of the correct answer on your paper. . What angle is formed between the horizontal and the line of sight of the observer to the object above? . Line of Sight . Angle of Depression . Angle of Elevation . What is an imaginary line that connects the eye of the observer to the object being observed? . Angle of Elevation . Line of Sight c. Angle of Depression 27

3. What angle is formed between the horizontal and the line of sight of the observer to the object below? Angle of Depression Line of Sight Angle of Elevation   For number 4-5, refer to the figure in the right: 4. On the figure, which is the angle of elevation? ∠ 1 b. ∠ 2 c. ∠ RPT   5. On the same figure, which is the angle of depression? ∠ PTS b. ∠ 1 c. ∠ 2 28

Group 2: STOP! LOOK! Look Up and Look Down! Directions: Follow the steps below and answer the questions that follow. 1. Let one student stand 2m away from the wall. 2. Measure the distance from the floor to the eyes of the student. 3. On the wall, measure the same height and put some mark on it. 4. Paste an object above and below that mark. 5. Ask the student to look at the object above the mark. 6. Illustrate this by drawing a broken horizontal line from the eyes of the student to the marking on the wall. 7. Draw a line from the eyes of the student to the figure above. 8. Repeat 6 and 7 but this time student will look at the figure below the mark. Guide Questions: In your drawing, 1. Which is the angle of elevation? 2. Which is the angle of depression? 3. In your locality, is there a time where angle of elevation or angle of depression is observed? Make an illustration. 32

Group 3. Search in google at least 1 real thing/object which represent angle of elevation and angle of depression. Name those thing/object and give some importance in our lives on that thing/object. Report into the class through a poem. ( give at least 1 stanza) 33

34

35 Group 3. Google Me! Search in google at least 1 real thing/object which represent angle of elevation and angle of depression. Name those thing/object and give some importance in our lives on that thing/object. Report into the class through a poem. ( give at least 1 stanza)

36 Group 2: STOP! LOOK! Look Up and Look Down! Directions: Follow the steps below and answer the questions that follow. • Use a tape measure to measure the distance between your eyes and feet. • Move around the room and find an object that is exact height as your eyes and label a picture. • Go outside the room and make an illustration of: a. Tall objects/structures (Give at least 1) b. Short objects/structures (Give at least 1) Answer the following: 1. Describe the illustration or picture you have created from the activity? 2.
