Development of Takar-Edu:
A Web-Based Authentic Assessment on
Impulse and Momentum
Mustika Wati, M. Arif, Surya Haryandi
Introduction
Learning in schools is still dominated by
conventional assessment methods, which
are less effective in developing students’
scientific literacy skills. Moreover, the
integration of technology in assessment
remains limited, and most evaluations are
still conducted manually, leading to
inefficiency. As a result, students often
focus more on memorizing facts rather than
applying concepts in real-life contexts.
Introduction
To overcome these challenges, it is
necessary to develop assessment tools that
not only measure learning outcomes but
also promote students’ higher-order
thinking and scientific literacy.
One promising solution is the
implementation of web-based authentic
assessments, such as Takar-Edu, which can
provide more interactive, efficient, and
contextual evaluations aligned with 21st-
century learning goals.

Conclusion
The developed assessment consists of: 14 affective
items used in the student response questionnaire, 18
cognitive items used in the learning outcome test,
and 6 items designed to measure students’
psychomotor skills.
Takar-Edu’s web-based authentic assessment has
been proven to be valid and reliable, making it
suitable for implementation in educational settings.
