This presentation is about “custom made” appliances designed in a CAD environment and made of titanium with Laser Synt technology, where (in some cases) a part in Peek is added and mechanically stabilized.
The use of Peek is necessarily useful, for example, in TMJ prostheses, where, by interposing itself between the metal part and the bone, it prevents the latter from contact wear. The advantages of having “custom made” appliances compared to using the same mass-produced ones are already known.
Furthermore, the Expert who needs this kind of appliance can actively intervene in its realization by requesting any possible change to its
geometries during the design phase, in order to obtain a product with considerable application precision and responding to the predefined idea.

This presentation is about “custom made” appliances designed in a CAD
environment and made of titanium with Laser Synt technology, where
(in some cases) a part in Peek is added and mechanically stabilized.
The use of Peek is necessarily useful, for example, in TMJ prostheses,
where, by interposing itself between the metal part and the bone, it
prevents the latter from contact wear. The advantages of having “custom
made” appliances compared to using the same mass-produced ones are
already known.
Furthermore, the Expert who needs this kind of appliance can actively
intervene in its realization by requesting any possible change to its
geometries during the design phase, in order to obtain a product with
considerable application precision and responding to the predefined idea.
