Vertical Escape Chute One Escape Chute can evacuate at the rate of 25 people per minute

What is Escape Chute Escape Chutes are Suitable for high rise buildings and anywhere, where rapid evacuation of a large number of people is required and an external staircase is unsuitable due to the visual impact or the possibility of unauthorized access.

What is this product intended for? It provides a unique solution to the problems of vertical escape in difficult conditions during emergency evacuation. Single-Entry Escape Chute serves only the floor in a structure or building on which it is installed. Multi-Entry Escape Chute serves every floor, similar to stairwell in a multi-floor building. Movable/Portable Rescue Chute is mounted on the sky lift/ladder truck for high rise rescue.

SPECIFICATIONS Escape chutes are made to meet the demand of emergency exit, which may have variety in size and shape. A specification has been given below on the basis of this matter.   Where used Name Size & Standards Entrance Frame  Hardware  Main Materials Main Frame Steel Bar 19 mm (JIS G3101) Entrance Frame Hang Belt Polyester 27 x 3t 900kg x 2 = 1,800kg Chute  Main Body  Main Materials Slide Cloth Polyester Tensile Strength 150 x 160 kg Tear Strength 19 X 19 kg Other Fabric Polyester  (Flame resistance) Tensile strength 150 X 160 kg Tear Strength 19 X 19 kg Main Belt Polyester 35 x 2t  2,460 kg X 5 = 12,300 kg

What are they made of? Outer layer – 100% fiberglass fabric non-flammable to protect the chute from fire and it resists temperature of up to 750 C. Middle layer – flexible elastic fabric acts as brake and operates effectively in a temperature range of from –45 C to 175 C+). Inner layer – Du Pont Kevlar or Enka Twaron fabric can resist temperature of up to 650 degrees C. This layer supports the whole chute load and the Kevlar has the breaking strength of over 10 tons (10,000 kg). All three layers together are 1.8 kg approximately per running meter.

Where are the escape chutes being installed? They are installed at multi-storey buildings from 2 storey upward to high rise buildings: Government Buildings; Public Buildings; Security Buildings/Facilities; Embassies; Office Buildings; Apartments/Condominiums; Hospitals/Healthcare Centers; Homes for the Elderly, Children, Handicapped; Shopping Malls... Escape chutes are also installed for industrial applications: Nuclear Power Plants, Chemical Plants. Bridge Crane, Tower Crane, etc. Ammunition Plants and similar location. Space Rocket Launching Pads. Textile Wet Curtain Technology. Monorail systems. Giant mining and dirt moving equipment. Ferries, Offshore Rigs. Silos, Chemical/Gas Storage Tanks. Communication Towers, Tower Control Centers. Aerial Ladder Truck or Sky lifts platforms .

Can one be absolutely safe in the Escape Chute? Yes, when there is a helper at the ground to guide the evacuation operations. In addition, the users follow the standard operations procedure and have some awareness of the principles of operations. Evacuee will even feel safer than negotiating the long flight of stairs during mass evacuation in emergencies. To exit evacuee’s feet will touch the ground, he/she then crouch and extract his/her body from the chute and walk away.

Is it easy to breathe in the chute ? Yes, the chute is not air-tight and light penetrates easily. As you travel through the escape chute in the day time it is light and airy, you can look up, and down. Yet , it protects the evacuees from flame, heat and smoke from the danger of suffocation in the process of descending .

Escape Chute for Aircrafts An evacuation slide is an inflatable slide used to evacuate an aircraft quickly. An escape slide is required on all commercial (passenger carrying) aircraft where the door sill height is such that, in the event of an evacuation, passengers would be unable to "step down" from the door uninjured (Federal Aviation Administration requires slides on all aircraft doors where the floor is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above the ground).

A Comparison

Major RMG Fires Since '90 Fire Service and Civil Defence statistics showed that around 250,000 fires occurred in the country between January 1, 1997 and December 31, 2018, according to the online database Dataful . Estimated financial loss of around Tk 6,400 crore to the nation. At least 1,970 people were killed in around 200,000 fires across the country between 2004 and 2018, according to available fire service data .

We can not effort this any more. We don’t have the luxury.

Thanks For The Attention
