Kailash Satyarthi Nita Ambani

Kailash Satyarthi B orn 11 January 1954, is an Indian children’s rights activist and a global frontrunner face against child labour . He founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (lit. Save the Childhood Movement) in 1980 and has acted to protect the rights of more than 83,000 children from 144 countries. It s t largely because of Satyarthi’s work and activism that the International Labour Organization adopted Convention No. 182 on the worst forms of child labour , which is now a principal guideline for governments around the world. His work is recognized through various national and international honours and awards including Nobel Peace Prize of 2014, which he jointly shared with Malala Yousafzai .

He has also had a role in linking the movement against child labour with efforts for achieving “Education for All”. He has been a member of a UNESCO body established to examine this and has been on the board of the Fast Track Initiative (now known as the Global Partnership for Education).

Awards and honours Satyarthi has been the subject of a number of documentaries, television series, talk shows, advocacy and awareness films. Nita Ambani – Life Was born on 1st Nov, 1963. Grew up in the suburbs of Mumbai and hails from a middle class family. Holds qualifications as a teacher and an interior designer. Is a Commerce Graduate from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai university. Has a keen interest in Indian classical dance Is married to Reliance Industries Owner Mukesh Ambani . Is a proud mother of a lovely daughter Isha , and two sons, Anant and Akash .

Nita Ambani - Career Is the chairperson of Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Heads the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation which is a non-profit organization primarily devoted towards the promotion of education and health care services for the needy and under privileged in India. Co-owns the IPL team Mumbai Indians.

Nita Ambani – Social Work Works tirelessly in order to raise the living standards of the underprivileged and needy as part of the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation. Has taken upon the task of providing for a fair share of representation to the physically challenged in call centers and associated facilities in the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City. Has supervised the development of villages around the Reliance projects personally. Is part of Reliance Industries and UNAIDS partnership which is aimed towards halting and reversing the HIV epidemic in India .

Nita Ambani - Achievements Has received Samaj Seva Vishwa Bhushan at the Bharat Nari Shakti award Award function was held on the International Women’s Day in 2005. She was awarded for her leadership qualities, selfless service and innovative ideas, particularly in health care and education.
