Introduction Architecture means the art and design of buildings, temples, forts, and monuments. Indian architecture shows the culture, religion, and history of our country.

Ancient Indian Architecture Ancient India had remarkable structures like stupas, temples, and rock-cut caves. Examples: Sanchi Stupa, Ajanta and Ellora Caves.

Temple Architecture Indian temples are built with beautiful carvings and designs. North India: Nagara style (Khajuraho Temples) South India: Dravidian style (Meenakshi Temple, Madurai).

Islamic Architecture With the coming of the Mughals, domes, arches, and minarets became common. Examples: Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Qutub Minar.

Medieval Architecture Many forts, palaces, and tombs were built during medieval times. Examples: Gol Gumbaz, Fatehpur Sikri, Amber Fort.

Modern Indian Architecture Modern India has new styles with glass, steel, and concrete. Examples: Lotus Temple (Delhi), India Gate, Parliament House.

Conclusion Indian architecture reflects our culture, art, and diversity. It tells the story of our history and traditions through its beautiful structures.
