INDIA INDIA is surrounded by 3 oceans namely the Arabian Sea (west), Indian Ocean (south), Bay of Bengal (east).

THE INDIAN OCEAN The  Indian Ocean  is the third largest of the world's  oceanic  divisions, covering approximately 20% of the  water  on the Earth 's surface

THE ARABIAN SEA The  Arabian Sea  is a region of the Indian Ocean bounded on on the north by  Pakistan  and  Iran , on the south by northeastern  Somalia , on the east by  India  and on the west by the  Arabian Peninsula . Some of the ancient names of this body of water include  Sindhu Sagar (meaning "Sea of  Sindh " in Sanskrit) and  Erythraean Sea .

THE BAY OF BENGAL The  Bay of Bengal , the  largest bay in the world , forms the northeastern part of the  Indian Ocean . Roughly triangular in shape, it is bordered mostly by  India  and  Sri Lanka  to the west,  Bangladesh  to the north, and  Burma  ( Myanmar ) and the  Andaman and Nicobar Islands  to the east.
