4. Infant Radiant Warmer with Infant Bassinet Heater unit provides uniform warmth rapidly all over the bed. The heater can be operated in Servo and Manual modes. The heater unit may be swiveled to accommodate X-ray units .

5. Working Principle -Warmer The parabolic reflector in the heater unit reflects the heat radiated from the heating element into parallel rays and heats up the infant’s bed uniformly. Micro controller based servo controller technology is used in the warmer Radiation Distribution

The height of the heater unit maybe adjusted for different bed heights on field by trained personnel

7. Warm er has two modes 1 . Manual mode: When you are anticipating a baby to be brought under warmer care Manual mode is used. Before baby has arrived k eep warmer on with 100 % heater output, which than drops to 60% after a particular time . 2. Servo mode: Once baby is placed servo mode is used. A temperature probe is connected to the baby . Heater provides output according to baby's current temperature and set temperature.

APGAR Timer (Optional) A - APPEARANCE ( Skin Color ) P - PULSE ( heart rate ) G- GRIMACE A - ACTIVITY R - RESPIRATION The test is generally done at one and five minutes after birth, and may be repeated later if the score is and remains low. Scores 3 and below are generally regarded as critically low, 4 to 6 fairly low, and 7 to 10 generally normal. A low score on the one-minute test may show that the neonate requires medical attention

9. Control panel The control panel is ergonomically designed using soft touch keys. This modular panel maybe easily removed if servicing is required . LED display with battery backup indicates temperature even during power failures Audio & visual alarms are displayed . Silence switch for audible alarms is available

Bassinet The Bassinet is provided with tilting facility Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg positions are available which are useful for resuscitation , feeding and other procedures The bed has a provision for X-ray cassette Markings are provided along the X-ray cassette to position the baby

T-shaped Base The T-shaped base is less space consuming and avoids congestion within the NICU and Labour suite The low T-shaped base slides under other equipment such as different bassinets saving space. Castors The entire unit is light weight and is mobile The NWS 101 can be easily shifted by just one person using the convenient handles . All the castors are provided with foot-operated brakes
