TRENDS IN ICT 1. 5G Technology: 5G technology is the latest generation of mobile communication networks, offering faster speeds and improved reliability compared to previous generations . It has the potential to revolutionize the way we live, work, and play, by enabling new and innovative applications that were previously not possible.

One of the most significant benefits of 5G technology is the increased speed and reliability it offers. With 5G networks, users can expect download speeds that are many times faster than 4G networks, making it possible to download large files, such as movies and games, in just a matter of seconds. Additionally , 5G networks offer improved reliability, with lower latency and greater network stability, making them ideal for applications that require real-time communication, such as virtual and augmented reality . Finally, 5G technology will also have a significant impact on entertainment. With 5G networks, users will be able to stream high-quality video, play online games, and access virtual and augmented reality experiences with ease. This will lead to a more immersive and interactive entertainment experience, enabling new and innovative forms of storytelling and entertainment.

2.ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) AND MACHINE LEARNING (ML): Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that focuses on creating systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include problem-solving, learning, understanding natural language, recognizing patterns, and making decisions.

Machine Learning (ML) is a subset of AI that deals with the development of algorithms and statistical models that enable computers to learn and improve their performance on a specific task without being explicitly programmed. ML algorithms use data to identify patterns and make decisions, and they become more accurate over time as they are exposed to more data. In summary, AI aims to create systems that can mimic human intelligence, while ML is a specific approach within AI that enables computers to learn from data and improve their performance on tasks.

3.Edge of Computing: Processing data closer to the source rather than relying solely on centralized cloud servers, leading to lower latency and improved efficiency.

4. Internet of Things ( IoT ): Expansion of IoT devices and applications, connecting everyday objects to the internet for data collection and analysis.

5.Cloud Computing : Ongoing growth of cloud services, including edge computing, hybrid cloud models, and serverless computing
