Growth in the global manufacturing sector has been steadily declining , even before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic . The pandemic is severely affecting manufacturing industries and is disrupting global value chains and product supplies . Innovation and technological progress are keys to finding lasting solutions to economic and environmental challenges , such as increasing energy and resource efficiency . Globally , investment in research and development (R&D), as a percentage of GDP, increased from 1.5% in 2000 to 1.7% in 2015, and remained at almost the same level in the 2017.
Proposal Renewable energies are a clean and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels , which are highly polluting and contribute to climate change . In addition , renewable energy can be a more accessible and affordable energy source for communities that do not have access to the electrical grid or are dependent on expensive energy sources .
Conclusion In summary , the Industry , Innovation and Infrastructure SDG seeks to promote sustainable economic growth and human development through innovation and the development of resource-efficient and resilient infrastructure and renewable energies can favor them to improvement and keep finding many ways out to save our world .
