These are the steps for downloading and installing MySQL in Windows 10

2. . Step-1: 1) Open the web browser in your PC 2) Search for MYSQL official webpage (www.mysql.com) 3) Open the page and go to downloads 4) In downloads click MySQL community (GPL) downloads 5 ) In MySQL Community (GPL) downloads click Windows installer

Step – 2: 1) In windows installer check your OS is windows which is a default setting 2) There will be two options available * M ySQL-installer-web-community-8.0.21.0.ms * MySQL-installer-community-8.0.21.0.ms Note: You can select the MySQL-installer-web-community if you are installing it in online, if not select MySQL-installer-community for offline installation.

9. Here we using the MySQL-installer-web-community for online installation For installation in online For offline installation

10. In download page it asks for sign in/ login in , no need to do that , just click no thanks just start my download

11. . Step-3: 1) After downloading right click the downloaded file and select ‘install’.

12. . 2) During installation system asks for ‘allow the file for installation’ click yes for installation. 3) Wait for the installer to run and it gets you in the setup page. 4) In choosing a setup click ‘Full’ option and select next. 5) Then in next page ‘Check Requirements’ it shows the packages which are not already exists in the system If you want you can install those requirements, if not you can click next 6) It asks for continuing the process, click ‘yes’

14. . No need to install that , if you want You can install the separate package

15. Then in next page ‘Installation Page’ click execute , you will see the files are downloading

16. * If it shows error , just click try again , it will get downloaded and installed * Then after finishing the download click next, which leads to ‘Product Configuration Page’. Click ‘try again’ if it shows error

Installing the MySQL-installer-community-8.0.21.0.ms * We can also install MySQL using MySQL-installer- community-8. 0.21.0 * It is same, in online mode the requirements are downloaded after the installation, in offline the packages are already downloaded. * Then follow the same steps mentioned in following slides.

18. Here choose next to configure the products.

19. Step-1: Choose Standard MySQL server/ Classic MySQL Replication and ‘Next’

20. Step-2: Leave the default selections and click ‘Next’

21. Step-3: Choose the first option ‘use strong Password’

22. Step-4: Set your password and select ‘Next’

23. Step-5: Leave the default selections and click ‘Next’

24. Step-6: Choose Execute and wait for the configuration steps to finish and select ‘Finish’ 1 Wait for the process to complete

25. As we can see the MySQL server configuration is completed and now we have to configure the Router so choose ‘Next’

26. Here we don’t configure the ‘Router’ because mostly its not needed, if we have to do we can re-configure later in MySQL installation, so choose ‘Finish’.

27. As we can see we not configured the ‘Router’, now we have to configure the ‘Sample and Example’ so click Next Configuration Not needed

28. Configuration setup to MySQL Samples and Examples: Now we are in Samples and Examples – Connect to Server Page . Step-1 : Enter your password Step-2: Select ‘Check ’ Step-3: Wait for the status to complete Step-4: Choose ‘Next ’ Note: You can set your own U sername , but here we set it as default

30. In this ‘Apply Configuration’ page Step-1: Choose execute Step-2: Wait for the Process to complete Step-3: After completion select ‘Finish’

31. As we see the configuration for Samples and Example is complete and click ‘Next’

32. We are in a Installation Complete Page, leave the default selections and choose ‘Finish’ and wait for the MySQL Workbench to popup

33. Here Now we see the MySQL Workbench is opened

Now we can check the MySQL shell is properly installed: Step-1: Type ‘MySQL 8.0-command Line Client Step-2: The Command Prompt will open and enter the password in it Step-3: You can check the details of the MySQL package we installed. That’s for the installation and now you can close all the applications and tabs and command prompt.
