2. INTRODUCTION It was founded in 1984 in New Delhi with the vision to spearhead heritage awareness and conservation in India. Today INTACH is recognized as one of the world's largest heritage organizations, with over 190 Chapters across the Country. In the past 31 years INTACH has pioneered the conservation and preservation of not just our natural and built heritage but intangible heritage as well. Headquartered in New Delhi, it operates through various divisions such as : Architectural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Material Heritage, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Heritage Education and Communication Services (HECS), Crafts and Community Cell, Chapters, INTACH Heritage Academy, Heritage Tourism, Listing Cell and Library, Archives and Documentation Centre

Guidelines of INTACH RETAIN VISUAL IDENTITY In a globalising world, where visual spaces are rapidly becoming homogenized, it is necessary to retain the specific visual identity of a place created by the presence of unprotected architectural heritage and sites. ADAPTIVE RE-USE The re-use of historic buildings and neighborhood is economically sensible. It is an effective strategy to conserve architectural heritage, particularly by using traditional craftspeople in the process RESTORATION/REPLICATION/ REBUILDING Restoration is an appropriate conservation strategy to reinstate the integrity or complete the fractured 'whole' of the architectural heritage/ site. It must aim to convey the meaning of the heritage in the most effective manner. EMPLOYMENT GENERATION Conservation strategy must focus on the potential for employing local raj mistris , labour and materials because this will prolong the economic viability of traditional ways of building SUSTAINABILITY The objective of conservation should be to sustain the building and/or the traditional skill and knowledge system of building. In this context, continuity must be seen as evolving over time

4. INTACH Architectural Heritage INTACH plays a vital role in the listing, documentation and conservation of historic structures and precincts of architectural, historical and cultural value. Our team of conservation architects is working on projects nationwide for the conservation of heritage properties and mobilization of resources in this direction.

6. CEPT University has created a vibrant environment of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation focused on issues concerning human habitats. From supporting cities in Gujarat in their disaster relief and rehabilitation efforts after the 2001 earthquake to leading the preparation of the nomination dossier that led to the inscription of Ahmedabad as a World Heritage City by UNESCO in 2017, the University has actively engaged in research projects, advisory assignments and capacity building initiatives aimed at solving critical problems in the built environment and improving the quality of life in India’s towns and cities.  COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY At CRDF, we have a strong focus on sustainability. Our centers have led impressive initiatives in areas of building energy performance, transport, and water and sanitation that have contributed to low-carbon urban development, responsible consumption, and more efficient management of natural resources.  CRDF is also an active partner in some of the world's most influential coalitions and forums such as the Global Cooling Prize, Sustainable Sanitation Alliance, ASHRAE, Global Water Partnership and Transport Research Board that focus on innovation in sustainable technology, policy and planning. CRDF reassures its focus on projects safeguarding the environment and improving sustainability.  The CRDF Environmental Safeguard Policy ensures compliance with all relevant environmental regulations.  CRDF affirms its commitment to maintaining a clean and green environment and conservation of biodiversity.  The policy also provides guidance to norms for environment-friendly decisions.  CRDF strives to integrate sound environmental practices across its various Centers’ operations.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region – Heritage Conservation Society (MMR-HCS) was established in 1996 by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to promote protection, preservation and conservation of the heritage in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) through research and demonstration related activities. Since 1996, the Society has supported several initiatives of various research organizations, NGOs, Government bodies etc. towards Heritage Conservation in the areas of Studying Heritage Precincts, Listing of Heritage Sites, Implementation of Heritage Conservation Projects, Awareness creation and Training. To conduct studies/surveys of buildings, artefacts, structures and precincts of historical / aesthetic / architectural / cultural value. To undertake systematic listing of heritage buildings and precincts as well as identifying the components of natural / cultural heritage which needs to be conserved. To compile and store data on heritage, including digital database conversion by using advanced techniques such as computerized optical image processing. To set up a full-fledged resource center including library, material documentation and photo-documentation center on heritage conservation. TRAINING, EDUCATION AND AWARENESS: To encourage the architectural educational institutions by undertaking training programmers in heritage conservation and carrying out documentation of heritage buildings and precincts in MMR. To organize training programmers for local authorities for developing capabilities in undertaking heritage conservation related activities. To sponsor candidates for participating in training courses in India/abroad for architectural students and local authority staff in heritage conservation and related subjects.

8. SPECIALISTS IN RESTORATION OF HERITAGE STRUCTURES ‘जीर्णोद्धारक’ In Sanskrit means ‘Restoring the lost Glory’. History comes alive, when we walk into one of these Heritage structures – the sounds of warm trumpets, beating of drums, Sky high ceilings, Pieces of art, Grandiose of live of Kings and Queens, Voices of masses, Famous speeches and heart pounding sense of patriotism and glory. Every step into heritage takes us back in time and reminds us of the sense of architectural perfection, magic of artistry, weaving culture into the colorful tapestry of life and a sense of connection and bonding to help us define – ‘Who we are’ and be proud of our rich cultural & architectural heritage. We at Savani Heritage have been living the same dream for over 23 years, restoring more than 100+ Heritage sites. We have been ‘Recreating History’ to bring alive the lost Grandeur of these heritage sites. We have extensively researched to bring traditional and conventional techniques into modern environment friendly approaches. Our use of Lime mortar enables use of lime pointing, construction of moldings and cornices in lime mortar, waterproofing and restoration of Mangalore tile pitched roofs, cleaning stone facades, removing deposits, etc. We also rework the foundation and structural strengthening of weak structures. We are adept at retro-fitting of heritage structures and working on ceiling, gilding and interiors. Recreating art work, light fittings, story boards, visuals, etc is part of our every day jobs of our highly trained and creative team.

ABOUT US : The state of Rajasthan is immensely rich in historical and archaeological source material which is scattered all over the region, throwing a flood of light on its ancient history and culture. The Department of Archaeology and Museums, as an attached office under the Department of Art and Culture, is the premier organization for the archaeological researches and protection of the cultural heritage of the state. The Department since its inception in 1950 has been making concerted efforts to discover, preserve, protect, exhibit and interpret the cultural legacy embodied in various forms of art and architecture. At present, the Department has 21 museums, 2 art galleries,342 protected monuments and 43 archaeological sites under its control comprising of sacred and secular monuments, such as rock shelters, exquisite temples, colossal mosques, massive forts, splendid palaces, artistic cenotaphs, carved and painted havelies . The Department has more than 3 lac objects of different types in its museums as well as different branches of the directorate. The object comprises prehistoric Stone Age tools, excavated material collected from different sites, terracotta figurines, miniature paintings, and Sculptures ranges in date from 6th century to the 19th century AD, coins, inscriptions, metal objects, arms, weapons, musical instruments, textile, stuffed animals and other miscellaneous  obiects  etc. ACTIVITIES Preservation, Restoration and Conservation of Monuments, antiquities and Archaeological Sites Excavation and Exploration • Re - organization and Development of Museums Research and Publication • Survey and Documentation Numismatic Branch • Exhibitions, Seminars, Lectures
