3. PROBLEM High energy consumption of ITUM. Around 20% of the total consumption used by the hostels. A considerable monthly utility bill payed by ITUM.

4. SOLUTION Using renewable energy sources at ITUM The energy which is generated using Wind Turbines can be used for lighting the hostels By introducing wind tree concept, we can use the rooftops productively.

5. TYPE OF WORK TO BE CARRIED OUT Measuring the energy consumption of the hostels. Study about the Installation system of the hostels Calculate the cost for one Wind Tree. Calculate the investment and its covering Period. Developing a low-cost wind charging unit and storing energy.
