Title : Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT)

Content Definition BJT type and operation BJT symbol and Terminal configuration Transistor connection BJT Application

BJT operation NPN BJT operation : A NPN bipolar junction transistor (BJT) operates by controlling the flow of current between two of its terminals, called the collector and emitter, using a smaller current at the base terminal. PNP BJT operation : In a PNP transistor, the base is typically negatively biased with respect to the emitter, causing a small current to flow out of the base terminal. This small current controls a larger current flowing from the emitter to the collector terminals

What is BJT? A bipolar junction transistor is a three-terminal semiconductor device. The three terminals of the BJT are the base, the collector, and the emitter.

There are two types NPN and PNP

BJT symbol and Terminal configuration Emitter (E): The emitter is the terminal through which majority charge carriers (electrons for NPN, holes for PNP) enter the transistor. Base (B): The base is the middle region of the transistor. It controls the flow of charge carriers from the emitter to the collector. Collector (C): The collector is the terminal that collects majority charge carriers emitted from the emitter.

Title: Field Effect Transistor(FET) Submitted By- Md. Mojahid Hossain – 12105038 (CSE)

Today Topic FET Definition Types of FET Describe the work process Characteristics and applications of FETs

What is FET? A Field effect transistor(FET) is a three terminal semiconductor device. FET is a voltage controller device. The three terminal device such as Gate Source Drain

How does a FET work? Fate operates by the adjusting conductivity via gate voltage. Applied voltage forms depletion region in following current by source to drain terminal for current pass.

Types Of Field Effect Transistors Basic for n channel JFET Basic for n channel EMOSFET

Working Process Of JFET JFET operates by controlling current following through a semiconductor channel. The gate voltage modulates the width of a depletion region within the channel, regulating conductivity between source and drain terminals." N channel JFET

Working Of Process Of MOSFET MOSFET operates by modulating current following between source and drain terminals through a voltage applied to the gate. This voltage controls the conductivity of a semiconductor channel, allowing precise regulation of current.

Applications Of FETS Amplification: FETs are commonly used in audio amplifiers, RF amplifiers, and instrumentation amplifier due to their high input impedance and low. noise characteristics. Switching: FETs are utilized in digital logic circuits, power switching. applications, and voltage regulators due to their fast switching speed and low power consumption.
