Psychology is the study of people's behavior, cognitive attitude, performance, and mental functioning. It is used to better understand and help people with psychological disorders, treat mental health problems and improve the education system, workplace behavior, and relationships. Psychology can be applied in all areas of life . Applied psychology is the use of psychological methods and findings of scientific psychology to solve practical problems of human and animal behavior and experience. Mental health, organizational psychology, business management, education, health, product design, ergonomics, and law are just a few of the areas that have been influenced by the application of psychological principles and findings.

The importance of psychology is highlighted in two aspects: Theoretical Aspects: Psychology examines in its theoretical aspects psychological phenomena and behavioral patterns that appear on the individual's external behavioral reactions to access general principles and laws. It controls the presence of a particular event, mechanism and how it appears. Application Aspects: Through applied studies, psychology employs theoretical principles and laws in the process of mentoring, controlling and changing human behaviors for the better.

Improving Communication Skills- Psychology makes it easier to understand how humans think and behave while communicating with others. Building Relationships- As we already know, psychology is the study of human mind and behavior. Enriching Careers- psychology helps people to understand others and establish friendships and relationships. Instills self-confidence- One can gain self-confidence by learning and knowing more about oneself and their personality. One can gain insight into people’s behavior- Psychology tells us about all aspects of human behavior. It not only tells us about general human characteristics, but also points out differences in their behavior.
