Practical uses The line equation is useful for finding the location between two points such as using GPS. Useful in geography Also useful for estimating costs assuming the price for each item is the same. This is useful in economics and accounting

The line equation The line equation is y= mx+c x and y are the co-ordinates on the graph m is the gradient. This represents the relationship between x and y. The larger m is, the steeper the graph c is the y intercept. This is the relationship between the graph and the y axis
