ABSTRACT The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the way we interact with our surroundings, enabling seamless communication between devices and the internet. In this project, we propose an IoT-based Door Security Alarm system that is controlled by Google Assistant. The system aims to enhance home security by providing remote monitoring and control of a door alarm through voice commands using Google Assistant. The core components of the system include a door sensor, a microcontroller (such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi), an internet connection module (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet), and integration with the Google Assistant platform. The door sensor detects the state of the door (open or closed) and relays this information to the microcontroller. The microcontroller processes the sensor data and communicates with the internet module to connect to the cloud.

INTRODUCTION The evolution of technology has led to the creation of smarter and more connected homes through the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT refers to the interconnection of everyday objects and devices to the internet, enabling them to collect and exchange data for improved functionality and convenience. One of the areas where IoT has made significant strides is home security, where innovative solutions are being developed to enhance safety and monitoring. This project presents an IoT-based Door Security Alarm system that leverages the capabilities of IoT technology and integrates with the widely used voice-controlled platform, Google Assistant. The system aims to address the security concerns associated with home entrances, providing users with the ability to monitor and control their door alarm remotely using voice commands. By combining IoT devices, microcontrollers, internet connectivity, and Google Assistant integration, this project showcases a novel approach to modernizing home security systems.

EXISTING SYSTEM Before delving into the proposed IoT-based Door Security Alarm controlled by Google Assistant, it's important to understand the existing systems and challenges associated with traditional door security methods. Traditional door security systems typically involve standalone alarms, keypads, and manual monitoring. These systems are often limited in their capabilities and may require physical presence to arm or disarm the alarm. Some may offer basic remote monitoring through SMS alerts or phone calls, but they lack the seamless integration and convenience that IoT technology can provide. PROBLEM DEFINITION The security of homes and personal spaces is of paramount importance in today's fast- paced world. Traditional door security systems often lack the flexibility, convenience, and integration needed to effectively address modern security concerns. This project seeks to tackle these challenges by proposing an IoT-based Door Security Alarm system that is controlled by Google Assistant. Limited Remote Accessibility: Traditional door security systems lack the ability to provide real-time remote access and monitoring. Complex User Interfaces: Many existing systems rely on complex user interfaces such as keypads or manual switches, which might not be user-friendly and intuitive for all users. Lack of Integration: Integrating traditional door security systems into modern smart home ecosystems and voice-controlled platforms is often complex and requires technical expertise. .

P R O B LE M S O L U T IO N The proposed solution to the challenges outlined in the problem definition is the development and implementation of an IoT-based Door Security Alarm system controlled by Google Assistant. This solution leverages cutting-edge technologies to provide a robust, user-friendly, and highly effective door security system.
