7. Remove the last chicken from the shed. Remove feeders & drinkers from the shed to the washing site. Dry cleaning with a broom to remove cob webs & dust. Using a spade collect the litter into heaps for easy removal. Where possible dispose the litter at least 500 meters from the chicken shed. Alternatively compost it. 8. Using a power washing machine wash the shed with plain water from the out side roof, side walls / netting then inside roof and side walls. Allow the shed to dry for a day. 9. Fix clean curtains on the side netting. Using a power washing machine wash the shed with a disinfectant starting with the outside roof, side walls / netting then the inside roof and side walls / netting. Very important is to follow the manufactures recommendation on mixing the disinfectant in water. Make the brooder — Tent with rings, Close the house & where possible fumigate the shed. Nobody should enter the shed without disinfecting their boots.

When chicks arrive distribute feed on the chick trays / Box feeder / Floor paper. Fill your drinkers with water having vitamins.
