•“International Organization for
Standardization” –
▪A globally recognized certifying body
that develops and publishes standards
that aim to facilitate international
coordination and unification of
industrial practices

•ISO develops International Standards but are not involved in
their certification
•An ISO Certification comes from a third-party and requires re-
certification every three years
•ISO Certified programs validate to all interested parties that a
company has standardized management systems, processes,
services, and/or documented procedures in place to achieve
