ISTQB Expert Level Deep dive Requirements for candidates The ISTQB® Improving the Test Process - Implementing Test Process Improvement (CTEL-ITP-ITPI) helps prepare individuals to fulfill the specific expert role within their organization or project, and more specifically to ensure that the implementation of test process improvements within their organization or project takes place effectively and stands the best chance of success. It covers the improvement process, organization considerations, change management, and success factors. For Part 1 of the CTEL-ITP certification, refer to CTEL-ITP-ATP . The Expert Level certification is aimed at those who have already achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing and wish to develop further their expertise in a specific area. To obtain Expert Level certification, candidates must have: the Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate the Advanced Level Test Manager (CTAL-TM) certificate passed the Expert Level Exam at least 5 years of practical testing experience at least 2 years of industry experience in the specific Expert Level topic

If you’ve failed the 1st try you can make second attempt Failure is not the end and not the opposite of success, it is a PART of success You got your knowledge assessment and can try to improve yourself Knowledge assessment is broken down by learning objectives The best way to re-prepare is to analyse points of failure and make every effort to study topics which failed

Copy data from your notification email to excel sheet (or google sheet or any other suitable editor) Look through notification email and find out what K-levels(Cognitive Levels) and LO(Learning Objectives) have 0.00 % passed Highlight also K-levels and LO where you didn’t get 100% Figure out what K-levels and LO got 100% (probably you understood those topics very well) Start improving your knowledge in failed LO

Learning objectives with K-levels are mentioned in syllabus There are also important keywords which need to be learned (can be found in Glossary) The Foundation and Advanced exams cover four different K-levels (K1 to K4): K1 (Remember) = The candidate should remember or recognize a term or a concept. K2 (Understand) = The candidate should select an explanation for a statement related to the question topic. K3 (Apply) = The candidate should select the correct application of a concept or technique and apply it to a given context. K4 (Analyze) = The candidate can separate information related to a procedure or technique into its constituent parts for better understanding and can distinguish between facts and inferences.
