what is stress ? stress is a feeling of emotional and physical tension. it is is our body’s reaction to a challenge or demand. it comes from any event or thought that makes us feel frustrated, angry, or nervous.

types of stress there are two types of stress:- positive stress (eustress) – stress which results from exhilarating experience. negative stress (distress) - this stems from the fear of falling, losing, overworking or not being able to cope.

physical stress Illness or injury. Experiencing abuse Experiencing crime and the justice system, such as being arrested, going to court or being a witness. Organising a complicated event, like a holiday .

MENTAL STRESS IT IS OFTEN SPOKEN OF AS EMOTIONAL STRESS AND INVOLVE POWERFULL FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS. IT HAMPERS THE POWER OF OUR OWN MIND IN HOW WE THINK, RATIONALIZE AND MAKE MEANING OF OUR STRESS. THIS SOURCE OF STRESS REVOLVES AROUND CRITICAL INCIDENTS AND SIGNIFICANT EVENT IN OUR LIFE. THESE ARE OFTEN ASSOCIATED WITH CONTINUING TRAUMA, OFTEN PREFERRED TO AS POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD)

social stress it relates to interacting, socializing and communicating with other human beings. some of the relationships or interactions can be very demanding and tension filled situations lead to stress. discord among the family members and peer pressure for doing things against there will and maintaining balance within life and studies lead to stress.

financial stress it is caused when we face financial problems. mostly this type of stress is faced by adults youngsters may have aspirational stress students living in hostel this stress more often than the ones who are living with there parents.
