Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Romans 9:25 As he says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘ my people ’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘ my loved one ’ who is not my loved one,”

Hosea 2:23 I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one.’ I will say to those called ‘Not my people,’ ‘ You are my people ’; and they will say, ‘ You are my God .’”

Romans 9:26 and, “In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘ children of the living God .

Romans 9:27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea , only the remnant will be saved .

Romans 9:28 For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.

Rom. 9:30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles , who did not pursue righteousness , have obtained it , a righteousness that is by faith ; 31 but the people of Israel , who pursued the law as the way of righteousness , have not attained their goal .

Rom. 9:30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles , who did not pursue righteousness , have obtained it , a righteousness that is by faith ; 31 but the people of Israel , who pursued the law as the way of righteousness , have not attained their goal .

Illustration: - The Israelites obtained righteousness through the law . - The Gentiles obtained righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus .

Rom. 9:32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works . They stumbled over the stumbling stone. 33 As it is written: “ See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall , and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame .

Romans 10:19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says, “I will make you envious by those who are not a nation ; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding .

Romans 10:20 And Isaiah boldly says, “I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.

Romans 10:21 But concerning Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

Acts 10:34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right .

Acts 13:6 They (Barnabas and Saul) traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus ,

Acts 13:7 who was an attendant of the proconsul (official, governor), Sergius Paulus . The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God.

Acts 13:8 But Elymas (Bar-Jesus) the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith.

Acts 13:9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas (Bar-Jesus) and said,

Acts 13:10 “ You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right ! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery . Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?

Acts 13:11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.”

Acts 13:11 Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord .

Acts 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy . They began to contradict what Paul was saying and heaped abuse on him.

Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles .

Acts 13:47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”

Acts 13:48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him ,

Obey what the Lord has delegated you. Do not take lightly the mission God has entrusted you. The Lord will back you up with whatever He has asked you to do.

Acts 15:5 Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, “The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to keep the law of Moses .”

Acts 17:16 While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols .

How about us? What is keeping our relationship from the Lord growing and robust?

Some laws imposed by the Pharisees had to do with washing your hands before eating , washing cups and plates, and so on . I guess this was good hygiene, but the Pharisees taught these things like moral issues. In other words, if the people didn’t do these things , they were sinning .

Romans 11:17 If some of the branches have been broken off , and you, though a wild olive shoot , have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root ,

Romans 11:18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

Scion (n) shoot or bud Rootstock (n) a stem with a well-developed root system, to which a bud from another plant is grafted

Scion (n) shoot or bud Rootstock (n) a stem with a well-developed root system, to which a bud from another plant is grafted

Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy , to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice , holy and pleasing to God —this is your true and proper worship .

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world , but be transformed by the renewing of your mind . Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is— his good , pleasing and perfect will .

How do you offer God your bodies as living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Him? What are the patterns of this world that we must not conform our lives to?

In a spiritual context, "patterns of this world" often refer to behaviors, values, and practices that are contrary to spiritual or moral principles. Here are some examples: Materialism : Prioritizing wealth and possessions over spiritual and moral values.

Selfishness : Focusing solely on personal gain without considering the well-being of others. Pride : Having an inflated sense of self-importance and not being humble. Immorality : Engaging in unethical or immoral behaviors that go against spiritual teachings. Conformity : Following societal norms and pressures that lead away from spiritual growth.

Rev. 7:9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count , from every nation , tribe , people and language , standing before the throne and before the Lamb . They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands .
