What is a news ?

NEWS A news is an oral or written report of timely and important events to inform people on what is going on in the surroundings .

5W’s and 1H Questions

WHO is the persons/characters involved in the event. Example: Who were involved in the story? The Ant and The Grasshopper

WHAT is the event that took place or happened. Example: What happened in the story? The Grasshopper spent the summer singing and dancing while the ant worked to store up food for winter.

WHEN is the time the event happened or will happen. Example: When did it happen? When winter arrives

WHERE is the place or venue where the event happened. Example: Where did it happen? The story take place in forest floor.

WHY? is the reason why the event happened. Example: Why did the ants refused to give to the grasshopper? T he grasshopper did not listen to the ant and he was busy singing and sleeping during summer.

HOW is the manner/occurrence of the event. Example: How did it happen? Instead of listening to the ant’s advice, the grassho pper was busy singing and sleeping.

BODY is of several paragraphs, each containing the details of events and arrange from the most important to the least important.
