The TBI has a Governing body comprising of eminent personalities including subject
experts. The technical experts are associated right from the screening of the technology
proposed to be incubated till the graduating out of the incubatee into a successful
MSME unit. In its efforts to provide the best of its kind inputs to its incubatees, the TBI
draws from the strength of Scientists, Researchers and other experts from various
faculties of the University such as Biotechnology, Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Law, Medicine,
Management etc. The University has been working with some of the best Universities
and International Institutes across the world such as ETH, EAWAG, Heidelberg,
Cleveland clinic, Universities of Florida and Pennsylvania of the US, NIFES and IMMT
etc .
Besides NSTEDB, KIIT-TBI is also supported by various Governmental agencies such as
Technology Development Board(TDB) for seed support assistance, BIRAC, Dept of
Biotechnology; Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE),
Department of Information Technology(DIT); Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium
Enterprises(MSME) to Support entrepreneurial and managerial Development of
MSMEs through Incubators. Although the principal thrust of KIIT TBI is Biotechnology
and ICT, KIIT-TBI is now also focusing on other emerging areas in Engineering &
