WHAT IS SEAM? is the basic structural element of a garment or household textile item. It is a means by which two pieces of fabric are joined.
Basic kinds of seams
Plain Seam is the common type of seam. It is also the foundation when making the different seams.
French Seam is a seam with the raw edges enclosed or a seam within a seam.
Flat-Fell (also called flat-felled)-It appears inside out to reduce stitching. It is used in making denim jeans

Activity 2.2 Create Seam Samplers (2 days) Instructions: Make a sampler of the different seams following the procedures given above. You can use any recycled cloth. Each cloth to be used should be 2x4 inches. Paste it in long size bond paper.
