Therefore, there are 2 ideas show in the sentence. Sentence 1 & 2 have 2 independent clause and shows 2 ideas. The clauses are connected by the conjunctions . Conjunctions are and, but, or, yet, therefore, so COMPOUND SENTENCE AND connects 2 related ideas. BUT connects 2 conflict / contradict ideas.
