2 . Incubator Is a device used to grow and maintain microbiological culture . The incubator maintain optimal temperature , humidity and other conditions such as the carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen content of the atmosphere inside . T he temperature of incubator is constantly maintained at 37°C. Lab. Equipments
3. Autoclave An autoclave is a pressure chamber used to sterilize equipments and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam at 129°C for around 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the loads and contents . Used to sterilize culture media , discard and other equipments . All microorganisms and their endospores are killed within 15 minutes . Lab. Equipments
Lab. Equipments 3. Autoclave
4. Oven Oven uses dry heat to sterilization . Used to sterilize items that might be damaged by moist heat ( e.g. glasswares , powders and oils ) The temperature is about 150-180 for 1-2 hr. Lab. Equipments
5. Laboratory refrigerator Is used for a wide variety of purposes such as : Maintenance and storage of stock culture between subculturing periods . Storage of sterile media to prevent dehydration . Also used as repository for thermolabile solution , antibiotics and serums . Lab. Equipments
6. Centrifuge Is an apparatus that rotates at high speed and separate substances of different densities . Lab. Equipments
7 . Balance Used to measure an object´s mass to a very high degree of precision . Lab. Equipments
8. Hot plate / Stir plate Lab. Equipments
9. Water bath Lab. Equipments
10. Biological Safety Cabinet Is an enclosed , ventilated laboratory workspaces for safely working with materials contaminated with pathogens . Lab. Equipments
11. Bunsen burner Is a common piece of lab. Equipment that produce a single open gas flame , which is used for heating and sterilization . Lab. Equipments
12. Inoculating loops and needles Inoculating loops are used to transfer microorganisms to growth media or for staining slides . Inoculating needles are straight wires used to pick up bacteria from closely packed colonies or to inoculate in a very defined area Lab. Equipments

13. Anaerobic jar Lab. Equipments
14. Spectrophotometer : Measure the differences in color intensities of solutions . In microbiology lab it used for direct counting of bacteria in suspension Lab. Equipments
15. pH meter : It is used to detrmine the pH of the media prior to experiments and to monitor pH value during experiments . Is used especially in the preparation of stock solutions and the culture media . Lab. Equipments
Glass slide : usd to place specimen on to observe under the microscope b . Cover slip : used to cover specimen on a microscope slide . Lab. Materials
c. Petri dishes : often used to make agar plate for microbiological studies Lab. Materials
d. Pipet and graduated cylinders Glass or plastic Used to measure liquid volume . Graduated in ml. Lab. Materials
e. Beaker Lab. Materials
f. Flask Lab. Materials
g. Funnel Lab. Materials
H. Test tube : used to mix, heat or store substances I. Test tube rack : used to hold test tube Lab. Materials
J. Wash bottles : Used to supply precise and small quantities Of v arious liquids K. Filter paper : special paper used to separate s olids from liquids Lab. Materials
