2. WORLD ENGLISH WORLD ENGLISH- refers the English language as a lingua franca used in business, trade, diplomacy, and other sphere of global or international activities.

3. WORLD ENGLISHES WORLD ENGLISHES – refers to the different varieties of English and English-based creoles developed in different regions of the world.

4. Kachru’s Concentric Circle Braj B. Kachru was a professor of linguistics who coined the term “World Englishes ”. He constructed a model also known as “ Kachru’s Concentric Circles” which hep us understand the use of English in different country.

5. Kachru’s Concentric Circle Three circles: The Inner Circle (ENL) The Outer Circle (ESL) The Expanding Circle (EFL)

6. Kachru’s Concentric Circle Inner Circle (ENL) countries who are considered the “traditional bases English”. Outer Circle (ESL) where English is not spoken natively but still maintained as an important language for communication largely due to historical reason.

7. Kachru’s Concentric Circle Expanding Circle (EFL) countries that do not hold historical or governmental importance toward English, but class it as a foreign language.
