A laptop computer is a personal computer for mobile use. A laptop integrates most of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard touchpad and speakers into a single unit. A laptop is powered by mains electricity via an AC adapter, and can be used away from an outlet using a rechargeable battery. Laptops are also sometimes called notebook computers or notebooks.

The second laptop computer - Epson HX-20 with built in printer Also released in 1981, was the Epson HX-20, a battery powered portable computer, with a 20-character by 4 line LCD display and a built-in printer.

In January of 1982, Microsoft's Kazuhiko Nishi and Bill Gates begin discussions on designing a portable computer, based on using a new liquid crystal display or LCD screen. Kazuhiko Nishi later showed the prototype to Radio Shack who agree to manufacture the computer.

For conclusion we can compare the oldest notebook and modern. Cpu characteristics changed from 4.0Mhz to 3.0 Ghz Ram memory changed from 64kb to 6gb Notebook storage changed from 20mb HDD to 1TB HDD or 250GB SSD and also we can see from the photos the evolution of design.
