Pre-lesson: Pupils display the storybook they have
brought and discuss the titles. Pupils also discuss the kind
of book they have brought.
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils refer to Activity 1 in textbook page 105. Teacher
asks pupils if they know any of the books. Teacher
explains the type of books.
2. Pupils match the cover of the books to the genres.
Teacher asks if pupils have read books under any of the
genres and to share the title of the book.
3. Pupils refer to Activity 2. Pupils read the texts in the
boxes. Teacher asks pupils to think of a book that they
would like to read and 2 reasons.
4. In groups, pupils share their answers and the reasons.
5. Pupils refer to Activity 3. Pupils listen and identify the
books the characters would read.
Post-lesson: Pupils look at the book that they brought
earlier and share 2 reasons why the like the book.
