WHAT ARE THE EQUIPMENT ?

WHAT ARE THE EQUIPMENT ?

Racket Clubs can be made from various materials including metal alloys and wood, with no restrictions on size. The racket has an oval head, widening throat, and a narrow handle. The club head is woven with strings like nylon, gut, or synthetic gut, and the handle is covered in leather or nylon for a better grip.

Ball According to ITF rules, tennis balls are yellow, spherical, and between 2.5 and 2.625 inches in diameter. They weigh between 2 and 21/16 oz and are made of compressed rubber. Young children play with differently colored balls that are slower, lower bouncing, softer, and larger.

Net A rectangular net separates the two sides of a tennis court, woven to prevent the ball from passing through. It must cover the distance between the net poles and is typically tied 3 feet above the ground.

Wrist bands Wristbands are around the wrists to prevent sweat from soaking the player's palm or racket. Wet adhesion may not be strong.

Head band A sweatband is used to absorb sweat. They also tie the player's hair out of their face. A cap of some tight absorbent material can be used instead of a headband.

Tennis shoes Running shoes alone do not provide sufficient lateral support for players. Tennis shoes are designed to give players better stability and prevent them from slipping when they move sideways. Shoes must not damage the court when players move quickly across the court.

Dress Men wear t-shirts or shirts made of materials such as polyester, which do not absorb sweat and keep the player cool. They wear pants that do not cover the knees.. Players have to run headfirst from corner to corner to dodge enemy shots. The player who wins the draw chooses which side of the court to choose or act first. If the player chooses a side, the opponent eats first and then turns. The first player to pass the ball stands behind the starting line, on the right side of the court and passes the ball. The receiving player can place himself in or out of the baseline, depending on his comfort level and strategy.

The receiving player can place himself in or out of the baseline, depending on his comfort level and strategy. The opposing player can return his action to the right, and it becomes a continuous penalty game. A player may shoot from beyond the baseline or the sideline, which is called an "out of bounds" shot. The advantage goes to the next player and play continues until one of the players wins the set and the game. During the game, the players turn heads when the game reaches a different number. This service is offered to opposing players after the match. A set is won when a player wins six games and holds a lead of at least two games over his opponent.

If the woman wins two of the three games, she is declared the winner. In doubles, the opponent's face changes after each match, switching between pairs. If both players/teams win all six games in a set, the result is a draw. If there is a die, each player takes two actions. In the next step, the player who started the command break is given two passes. The game continues until one of the players has scored seven points and holds a two point lead over his opponent.

Scoring Tennis scoring differs from other racquet sports, with points being scored as 15, 30, 40, and game points. Opponents can also score points, resulting in scores like 0-15, 15-15, and so forth. A break of serve occurs when the opponent wins against the serving player, leading to possible scores of 0-40. In tiebreak situations, players aim to reach seven points with a two-point lead to win the game.

Fouls During a serve, if the ball pitches outside the service line or sideline, or even hits the net then, it is called a faulty serve. There are multiple rules for service fault. The serving player should not touch the baseline or sideline while serving the ball. If the serving player misses to hit the ball after tossing then, it is defined as service fault. A player is not allowed to run or walk while serving the ball. She/he is allowed to lift one or both legs while serving. Service Fault

Another example of a double foul is dropping the ball outside the service line twice. Players can recover from injuries over a period of time through in-game treatment. Players have breaks between games and each set. These breaks are scheduled and players must continue and pay fines. Double Fault

VARIANT In a singles game, there is only one player on each side of the court. While serving, each player has to start from right half of the court and serve diagonally to the opponent. In men’s singles five sets have to be played while three sets have to be played in women’s singles. Singles

VARIANT In a doubles game, there are two players per team. The partners can decide who should serve first. Similarly, the opponents can decide who receives the serve first. These roles have to change alternately for each game. When two gentlemen play as a team in doubles, it is called Men’s Doubles. When two ladies play as a team, it is called Ladies Doubles. DOUBLES

VARIANT In mixed doubles, a gentleman and lady form a team. The rules are same as men’s doubles that is the teams have to play five sets to win the game. Men’s doubles consists of five sets a match. Women’s and mixed doubles consists of three sets a match. Teams winning maximum number of sets win the match. Mixed Doubles
