INTRODUCTION OF LiAlH 4 LiAlH 4 is a strong reducing agent , available as either power or pallet. LiAlH 4 used as a suspension in ether or THF( Tetrahydrofuran )and react violently with water and alcohol. LiAlH 4 is used to reduce compound which are nonreactive toward NaBH 4 . LiAlH 4 is a strong reducing agent than NaBH 4 duo to weaker Al-H bond. 1
