March 7,2022 EE Department, BKBIET, Pilani 3 Abstract T he Line follower robot is a mobile machine that can detect and follow the line drawn on the floor. Generally, the path is predefined and can be either visible like a black line on a white surface with a high contrasted color or it can be invisible like a magnetic field. Therefore, this kind of Robot should sense the line with its Infrared Ray (IR) sensors that installed under the robot. After that, the data is transmitted to the processor by specific transition buses. Hence, the processor is going to decide the proper commands and then it sends them to the driver and thus the path will be followed by the line follower robot. The line follower robot is used in various workshops, factories etc. where unmanned vehicles are used to follow a specific path without using tracks. Our system is used to design this line following robotic vehicle.

Above the white surface there are some black line in different direction the robot still good enough to sense the line and follow the track. If Someone comes front of robot then robot will be stopped.

In Industries it can be used to take the visitor from main gate to the desired place or unit. Robot will be kept on gate and a Line will be drawn from the gate to the respective unit. In industries it can also used to carry goods or any material from one place to another place automatically. This will remove the human interactions. Line following robotic vehicle can carry the hazardous materials like radio active material, poisonous gas cylinder which humans can not carry easily. This robot can be modified and can be fitted along with wheel chair, so that it can be used by disabled people or people who can walk due to injuries or accident.
