Attended by around 500 participants and 200 on-line followers.

Conclusions –benefits of new ERTMS-specs

▪CCS TSI 2023, EC has published upon ERA‘s recommendation
‒contains error corrections and a lot of functional enhancements (ATO, SM, opti-
misedbraking curves, BMM, reaction on inaccurate ODO, FRMCS readiness…)
‒allows:
‒increasing operational rail capacity –optimised ETCS braking curves & ATO introduction
‒increasing radio transmission capacity –FRMCS readiness
‒saving energy, increasing punctuality and efficiency of rail traffic mngment–ATO GoA1/2
‒reducing number of infra elements –SM, integrity and confirmed train length reporting
‒increasing cyber security –removal of HP data, higher protection of ETCS L2 runs
‒harmonises translationsof texts/messages on DMIfor the first time (Appendix E)
