result in 20mins to diagnose whether it is,
•1. Plasmodium vivax
•2. plasmodium falciparumOR
•3. Mix malaria

If line appear in front
of,
C = No Malaria(-)
Pv= P. Vivax(-)
Pf = P. falciparum(-)
Rapid malaria kit test

Treatment of Malaria
•Plasmodium treatment depend upon the fact
that patient have which type of plasmodium.
P.vivax& P.falciparumis in India, pakistanand
Bangladesh
•While

countries.

Malaria Types
on basis of Symptoms
•1. Uncomplicated Malaria:
•Moderate symptoms
•2.Complicated (Severe) Malaria:
•Severe symptoms

Plasmodium VivaxMalaria treatment

nd
day: Chloroquinetab orally 10mg/kg
•Then
•3
rd
day: Chloroquinetaborally 5mg/kg
•Addtionto
•Primaquinetab0.25mg/kg daily upto14days

•Do not give Chloroquinetab in case of
P.falciparummalaria because they are resistant
to Chloroquine.
•And
•Do Not give primaquinein
•Infants
•Pregnant females and
•G6PD deficiency disorderpatients (anemic
symptom).

Other symptomatic treatment
•If you have Fever:
•Paracetamol500mgafter breakfast , lunch and dinner
for about 3-4 days.
•To treat Vomiting and Nausea:
•Domperidone10mg (motilium) + pantoprazol40mg
