HISTORY MCB Bank Limited was incorporated by the Adamjee Group on July 9, 1947, as a limited company. The bank was nationalized in 1974 during the government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. This was the first bank to be privatized in 1991. The president of the bank is M.U.A Usmani .

SWOT Analysis STRENGTH MCB is a well established bank, enjoying long history of over 55 years of experience and profitable operation. MCB was the first privatized bank that gives it an edge over other nationalized banks. MCB is the market leader in introduction of E-banking and it has the largest ATM network in the country. WEAKNESS The overseas branch network of MCB is limited. It has only four overseas branches. Most of the employees lack managerial training as they are not properly educated.

OPPORTUNITY MCB may enhance its Rupee Travellers Cheques (RTCs) sales by searching for new market . THREAT The Rupee Travellers Cheque (RTC) sales volumes may be affected on account of regulatory restriction imposed by SBP on issuance to large value denominations
