About Healing Himalayas

Founded in
2016
with a need to conserve Himalayan environment due
to region’s ecological significance, cultural heritage, and
circular role in providing essential resources for millions of
people downstream
with a mission to dedicatedly working in the
Himalayan Region to mitigate climate change by introducing
circular waste management

Pradeep Sangwan
Founder
Pradeep Sangwan is the founder and promoter of
Healing Himalayas Foundation, which has taken over the
onerous task of cleaning out the trash from the picturesque
Himalayas.

An alumnus Of Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer, he is
disciplined, dedicated and passionate about his approach to
clean out the waste generated as a result of our mindless
adventure schedules. In order to preserve the pristine
beauty of the Himalayas, he and his team embark on
arduous journeys and treks and bring back the garbage.

Clean up Drives
With the help of volunteer trekkers, Healing
Himalayas clean the treks (most visited and
otherwise). We have covered various region of
Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh.

already operational in Himachal Pradesh

About Manimahesh Yatra

Manimahesh Yatra

A state-level pilgrimage

Situated in Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district

Manimahesh is approached from three routes - The
most popular is the Bharmour–Hadsar-Manimahesh
route which involves a 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) track from
Hadsar village to the Manimahesh Lake.

The lake is directly below Manimahesh Kailas peak.

Monitoring
Ensure all stakeholders (Langars, Shopkeepers, Sulabh

campsite for collecting the dry legacy waste

Awareness Campaign
Primarily at Hadsar base – aim to connect with all
pilgrims at the entrance of the yatra

04 | Encourage respect for the forest, nature and holy places from a religious/emotional perspective
