Lead or Follow
Who Will Lead? There are many reasons why Mark Antony would make to be the better leader out of all the characters of Julius Caesar the play. Mark Antony would become a great leader because he is confident. Such as when the Triumvirate (secrete conspiracy against Cassias) was making a list of people to kill. Antony came across the name of his nephew. 2. Even though it was his nephew that he was killing, Antony said, “ He shall not live; look, with a spot I damn him .” Antony made decision to kill his nephew because his nephew might have opposed him. He acts on with good reasoning as well self sacrifice & the phrase of, " Keep enemies close but family and friends further ," to fact.
Want A New Life? Here Take My Shoes. 3. Antony is loyal, noble, and dedicated towards others; for Caesar. When he dies Mark Antony wanted revenge for Caesars’ spirit to rest easy. Antony from his soliloquy speaks before the funeral, " Caesar will rise with hate, cry "havoc! " and let loose the hounds of war."
Whom To Be or Not To Be. Question is.. Where did I Put My Masks? 4. Along with being confident and noble, Mark Antony would be a great leader because he is persuasive. After Caesar’s death, Antony shook hands with the conspirators & said “ I doubt not of your wisdom. Let each man render me his bloody hand .” Tricking the conspirators into a false sense of trust and respect for Caesars death. In truth Antony was going to make the public turn against Brutus and the conspirators. When it was time for Antony to make his speech about Caesar to the countrymen, he used his great speech skills and got the countrymen to side with him.
Hate Me to Love Me Only When Dead. “Sad the living, only respect living , w hen dead.” 5. The citizens where full of pride by fallen leader Caesar and anger. Antony’s speech said, “ We’ll hear him, we’ll follow him, we’ll die with him. ” Antony follows after wit, “ Good friends, sweet friends, let me not stir you up To such a sudden flood of mutiny. ”As well fuelling there compassion of Caesar mentioning his will of the money he left for his people. The ability to persuade people is an important element in becoming a good leader in which he possessed.
“Lay to rest all ones hardships. For at the end of the day the sun will dawn. We All Still Will Be Men . 6. Antony shows many capabilities & characteristic elements in leadership. He is noble & caring to the people of the country by his actions. He listened to the people & what they had to say finding death of leader right but murder unjust. He also acknowledges his own mistakes & others after asking Caesar for forgiveness of joining his killers & mentioning good deeds Caesars left behind in will. A leader is many things but one who judges his own self before others. Willing to stand or; when others will not. Proud but not self lead. Is passionate yet just but not righteous. Antony is many things but he definitely is a leader.
