19/09/23 GOALS OF MBBS PROGRAM To produce an MBBS student with essential knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values , so that he or she shall perform and work properly and efficiently as a general physician in a community with an aptitude to advance in the field of medicine at national and international level.
19/09/23 DURATION AND PHASES OF THE MBBS ACADEMIC COURSE The total duration of the MBBS program is 4 and 1/2 years with 1 year of compulsory rotatory internship Candidate has to complete the MBBS course within 10 years of admission excluding internship.

19/09/23 FOUNDATION COURSE Based on the MCI AETCOM based MBBS curriculum The duration of foundation course:1 month in First Professional MBBS teaching schedule The foundation course (approximately total 175 hours) consists of: Orientation (30 hours), Skills Module (35 hours), Field visit to Community Health Center (8 hours), Introduction to Professional Development and AETCOM module (40 hours), Sports and extracurricular activities (22 hours) and Enhancement of language/computer skills (40 hours) Students should have minimum 75% of attendance in the foundation course.

19/09/23 INTERNAL ASSESSMENT EXAMINATIONS M inimum three internal assessment examinations in First and Second MBBS Professional subjects and minimum two internal assessment examinations in Third MBBS Professional Part 1 and Part 2 subjects Internal Assessment shall have 40% of total weightage in professional examinations. It shall be mandatory for a student to secure minimum 50% of marks (each in theory and practical/clinical) in the final internal assessment to become eligible in the professional examinations
