Introduction: As the hospital pharmacist has to deal with number of disease, dosage form and variety of prescription s, he must be familiar with medical and pharmaceutical terminology used in practice of pharmacy. Medicine : It is the science or practice of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. drug or other preparation for the treatment or prevention of disease. Diseases: A disease is an abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism Diseases are often known to be medical conditions that are associated with specific signs and symptoms It is synonymous with other terms like, disorder, ailment, illness, sickness.
