Short History Severe Acute Malnutrition Category of Malnutrition History: Management strategy Zakria is the youngest and 7 th child of his parents. His father is mentally challenged and can’t work to earn for his family, therefore, the family is wholly solely dependent on the ration provided in general food distribution as their food source. Zikria , when admitted in OTP had fever, diarrhea, anemia and was severely malnourished but had good appetite. His MUAC at admission was 11cm. He was treated for diarrhea with Zinc and ORS and with Amoxicillin and syrup Paracetamol for temperature. His anemia was treated with Ferrous sulphate . His weight and height accounted for Zscore <-3SD at admission.
