- Students read a brief paragraph about two friends who are going
to the movies.
- Teacher encourages students to watch a two-scene situational
video clip: “A date with Sarah” and have the opportunity to get
input through observation.
- The teacher checks learners’ comprehension by asking them
questions about the video clip.

the teacher monitors their oral skills development (pronunciation,
intonation…)

- Learners complete the script of the video clip using modal verbs.
- Then, they take phrases from the conversation to convey
