Microsoft New Customer Experience (NCE)

and what it brings to licensing

Microsoft implemented the New Customer Experience (NCE) unto
the marketin March 2022

The new NCE changes the way and terms licensing is sold
compared to how it was under the original Cloud Solution Provider
(CSP) Program

The option to freely increase and decrease license count for a set of
period or even cancel throughout the term of the subscription is no
longer possible

Those options now come with long-term commitments that cannot
be undone mid-subscription with the NCE.
(Microsoft knows how to sell)

Microsoft announced price increase in August 2021 and along with
itis the NCE offering a different pricing model for licenses

NCE with the new pricing models for the licenses takes the
following into account:

- What the annual commitment monthly invoicing is
- What the annual commitment annual invoicing looks like
- Longer terms available for some licenses

Wondering the options available if you wish to change the number
of licenses under NCE.

This willdepend on a fewcheckers or points to consider which are;

- Which license model you purchased

- On an annual commitment license, there is the option to increase
the number of licenses mid-term

- Throughout the term, you will not be able to decrease the number
of licenses

- More licenses purchased will have to run the full term or period

Wondering if your decision to purchase new licenses will fall under
the NCE or what to do with your existing licenses with the roll out of
the NCE?
