LTMC (Migration Cockpit) for Material Master Data Step by Step Process

When we are Implementing SAP S/4HANA solution, we can migrate our master data and business data from SAP systems or non-
SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA. By using SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit.

The Tool used to perform Migration is LTMC – (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit)

Let’s Create Finished Goods and Material Types FERT and with External Number

Here give Name for Migration Project

Basic Data
Here Basic Data is Mandatory we must fulfill all required fields here. Most of required fields here .Material Number, Language key,
Material Description, Industry, Material View, Material Group, Basic Unit of Measure (ISO), Division, General item category
Group, Gross weight , net weight , unit of weight .

In Plant View Must fill following fields Material Number, Plant, Material View, Profit Center, Purchasing Group & Material Type.

Storage Location Data
In Storage Location Data we must enter following fields Material Number, Plant, Storage Location.

Accounting Data
In accounting Data we must enter following fields Material Number , Valuation Area, Valuation Class, Price Control Indicator( if
V or S), Moving Average price or Standard Price, Price Unit

Sale Data
In Sales Data we must enter following fields Material Number, Sales Organization, Distribution Center, Item Category Group,

Tax Classification
In Tax Classification we must enter following fields Material Number, Departure Country , Tax Category 1 , Tax Classification 1

Maintenance Status settings
In Maintenance Status settings we must enter following Material Views and under following required view just put X like Basic Data,
Sales Data, Purchasing Data, MRP Data, Storage Data, and Accounting Data

Note: About Material View Must following below
 Material Maintenance Status field on the Basic Data worksheet/tab.
 Plant Maintenance Status on the Plant Data worksheet/tab.
 Possible values and combinations of them:
o A = Work Scheduling;
o B = Accounting;
o D = MRP;
o E = Purchasing;
o F = PRT;
o G = Costing;
o K = Basic;
o L = Storage;
o P = Forecast;
o Q = QM;
o S = Warehouse management;
o V = Sales;
 For example: BEKLV.


After filled all required fields completely downloaded EN_Material. XML document then we have upload, so click on Upload file


Here Upload the EN_Material. XML & give description: Material Master Uplaod1 then after click on Upload Button

Select following line and active it

Here check the data validation and look at Data validation in progress & once 100 % completed then click on Close

No errors showing but Information showing so, no problem , if any errors then come and correct the errors and reload it.
