It was a dominant paradigm in the social sciences in the 1950's and 1960's , then went into deep eclipse .

COMMUNICATION OF SOCIAL CHANGE THEORIES Background, Criticism And Strength
WHAT IS COMMUNICATION OF SOCIAL CHANGE It is the possible strategy in achieving sustainability and development. The technique is known as the participatory approach where interpersonal communication is exercised through community media. The members of the culture are agents of change as opposed to the outsiders who may provide any necessary tools.
It uses a variety of communication techniques to address inefficient systems, processes or modes of production within a specific location that has incurred major technological advances. Different mediums and approaches are used to help individuals among the targeted society to acquire new knowledge and skills. It allows communities not only to experience change but to guide it as well.
Political economy This is a social science that studies production, trade and their relationship with the law and government. It also refers to the advice given by economists to the government on either general economic policies or on certain specific proposals created by politicians .
The political behavior in an economy is shaped by: Interest : the interest of individuals and groups should be able to use their power to influence policy. Some government officials promote their own economic and political interest to help them retain power while people outside government are often more concerned with the outcome of the economic policies implemented.
Ideas: in addition to economic and political interests, ideas are considered an important influence on policy. It’s speculated that the individuals are self-seeking and rational, and they are unable to assess the outcomes of all the choices available to them. Some people want to enter politics because they want to make a change in the world but incorporating ideology into economic models allows some political action to be guided by factors other than self interest.
Institutions: they are political rules that include the Constitution and help structure incentives facing individuals and groups in the economy. Economic nationalism It is the belief that the state possesses all the power that individual should work to make use of economic benefits. The government should be able to control all resources and that individuals are ignorant and cannot create a cohesive society without a strong state.
